Hivernage
« The best value in luxury hammam»
Découverte

In the Hivernage district, far from the medina's frenzy, Mythic Oriental Spa occupies an 800-square-meter space designed for one thing: making you forget the outside world exists. The walls are in warm tadelakt, the lights are low, the air smells of eucalyptus and rosewater. This is the hammam for those who want the traditional ritual in an environment that makes no compromises on comfort.
The royal hammam — a full two hours — is the signature treatment. It starts with a hot steam room where the body relaxes for twenty minutes. Then the black soap and kessa glove scrub, done by professionals trained in traditional techniques, not by interns. Next, the ghassoul (Middle Atlas clay) wrap, followed by a rinse with orange blossom water. It finishes with a full argan oil massage — an hour of slow, deep movements that undo knots one by one.
What sets Mythic apart from the competition is consistency. Every treatment is executed with the same level of care, whether you're the first client of the morning or the last of the evening. The products are quality — artisanal black soap, first-press argan oil, pure ghassoul — and they don't skimp on quantities.
Treatment rooms are individual, spacious, with private showers and rest areas. The heated indoor pool is an appreciated bonus — dive in between treatments to extend the state of grace.
Prices are reasonable for the level of service: the royal hammam costs about 600 dirhams. That's less than hotel spas and incomparably better than the tourist hammams on organized circuits.
Affluent Marrakchis and expats frequent the Mythic regularly — it's become their monthly ritual. Visitors often discover it through recommendations, and systematically return.
The Mythic earns its place because it offers the best quality-to-experience ratio in Marrakech in the hammam-spa category: luxurious without being exorbitant, traditional without being rustic.
